At Loteraise, we help associations, foundations, charities, and other organizations to easily organize online lotteries and fundraising campaigns. However, during the development of Loteraise, we increasingly encountered a different need.<\/p>

Many of the organizations we work with do not only organize lotteries. They also organize club parties, benefit evenings, festivals, tournaments, meetings, performances, and other events for which tickets must be sold.<\/p>

And there appeared to be a striking similarity.<\/p>

The same challenge, but for ticket sales<\/h2>

From the beginning, the starting point at Loteraise was that technology should help an organization and not make things more complicated.<\/p>

An association or foundation does not want to deal with complex software. They want to set up a campaign, reach participants, process payments, and ultimately retain as much result as possible for their organization or cause.<\/p>

The exact same thing turned out to be true for ticket sales.<\/p>

Organizers regularly face relatively high service fees, complicated systems, and functionalities that are not necessary at all for small and medium-sized events. Especially for an association, foundation, or local organizer, every euro spent on ticket costs can be one too many.<\/p>

Based on the experiences we gained with Loteraise, a new idea emerged: why don’t we also build a simple and affordable platform for events?<\/strong><\/p>

That idea grew into Eventries.<\/p>

The step to Eventries<\/h2>

Loteraise founder Marijn Bax developed Eventries together with Stijn Deckers and Finn Cuijpers. The knowledge and experience gained with online payments, user-friendly software, and working with associations and other organizations formed an important foundation.<\/p>

Where Loteraise focuses on lotteries, giveaways, donations, and fundraising, Eventries<\/strong><\/a> focuses entirely on events and ticket sales.<\/p>

The starting point is largely the same: make professional software accessible to organizations that have no need for unnecessary complexity or high costs.<\/p>
